EMS Management Academy

During this three-day management workshop for students...

A modern entrepreneurial mindset

You experience the fascinating power of the brands every day. For example, when you walk through the supermarket and fill your shopping cart. Some products are chosen very consciously, others land habitually or spontaneously in your cart at the cash register. How do you make these decisions and what influences you? In the specialization marketing management you look behind the scenes of successful brand makers. In doing so, you will get to know versatile facets of marketing: product innovation processes, competitive pricing, advertising concepts, event management, public relations and much more.

Global, saturated and competitive markets have now made marketing a central function of corporate governance. Marketing employees plan and manage the service offer and are responsible for the company’s image cultivation in public. Therefore, the marketing department in modern companies is often directly attached to management.

Develop marketing competences with practical orientation

The specialization Marketing Management gives you the basics of marketing. These include consumer behavior, market research and strategic planning. You will also learn how to successfully organize and manage marketing projects. The goal of every marketing department is the profitable marketing of products. Here you deal with instruments of product, price, distribution and communication policy. In case studies and in a real business project you will apply your acquired knowledge to, for example, translating consumer analyses into an effective marketing concept or to making customer relationships sustainable. You gain even more practical experience during your internship in a marketing department of a company or advertising agency.

Incidentally, you will choose two specializations in the General Management degree program at EMS and can thus, for example, extend your marketing expertise with business psychology and gain an attractive competence profile for your future career.

Internationality as an additional benefit

Successful products are generally marketed internationally and advertising campaigns are developed in parallel for several countries. You will cooperate with colleagues and branches abroad and assume international tasks. That’s why business English courses are part of the EMS’s curriculum and your intercultural skills will be trained to meet these challenges.

Do you want even more internationality? Then perhaps our International Business degree program is an exciting alternative for you. This program offers course contents completely in English and you have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at one of our worldwide partner universities.

Well positioned for a striking career start

You can use your newly acquired marketing knowledge after the bachelor’s degree in companies of all industries and sizes. In medium-sized companies or start-ups, you will most likely be needed with your wide range of competences and given a great deal of responsibility early on. You can start in product management and plan and manage the success of individual products in collaboration with advertising agencies for service providers or consumer goods manufacturers. Or you can start your career in a more specialized position such as market research or advertising psychology. The range of marketing areas is extraordinarily large and there are constantly new exciting fields of activity and disciplines. Last but not least, with your specialization, you have the essential know-how for launching and managing your own successful company.
