Sustainable with foresight and expertise

The economic success and growth of companies require, among other things, forward-looking and future-oriented management. Managers must always keep an eye on current and emerging trends and developments and integrate them into corporate strategies and concepts. It is no longer a secret that companies of all industries have to deal with the topic of digital change. However, this requires experts who are able to deal with the demands and consequences of progressive digitalization. By choosing the specialization Digital Management you qualify for the strategic and conceptual handling of the challenges of these new developments.

Shaping the economy with innovations

The development of new business models, products and services also entails the adaptation and reorganization of entrepreneurial processes and procedures to maintain and increase competitiveness. The specialization Digital Management conveys a comprehensive understanding of digital change in companies and enables companies to develop and implement digital concepts and strategies, to recognize future challenges and opportunities and to translate them into visions and innovations. The students get to know the development of digital business models, deal with methods and techniques of innovation management and are prepared for the design of transformation processes.

Digital competence for generalists

The effects of growing technology affect all business areas and processes. From marketing to personnel management, controlling or production – not only techniques, processes and methods are digitally adapted, but also the development of the competencies of employees in dealing with the changing requirements must be prepared and implemented by careful change management. The specialization Digital Management prepares for all areas affected by digital change, such as data science, digital working environments, agile project management, coding and design or the Smart Factory.

Practical testing of strategies and visions

Efficiency and sustainability of new strategies and innovative concepts can only be assessed in practical tests. In the context of case studies, business projects or the compulsory internship, students gain valuable insights and experience into the effects and changes that the processes associated with digitization have on business and enterprises. Through the analysis of concrete facts and the independent development of solutions, the junior staff prepare themselves for a career entry in the management of such processes.

Fit for a career with a future

Companies of all industries and sizes have to deal with the digital change and are dependent on junior staff who, in addition to a sound economic education, also have relevant knowledge and skills in dealing with the challenges and opportunities of digitization. In all areas of the company, employees and managers must be able to cope with the changes brought about by an increasingly technological working environment. In the newly emerging divisions and business models, the demand for appropriately trained specialists is increasing.
