Bachelor programs for applicants from Germany

The EMS study programs always start with the winter semester (August / September). Due to the limited number of available study spaces, we advise you apply early. Due to this, we accept your applications year round – even before you graduate from high school.

Below the application requirements and procedure are explained.

  • 1st Step: Prerequisites

The admission requirement for studying at the EMS is the completion of your secondary school certificate, full entrance qualification to a University of Applied Sciences or an equivalent foreign qualification. Comparable degrees include: Matura, A-Levels, General Certificate of Education or an IB Diploma.  (If you are unsure as to whether your degree meets the requirements, our admissions staff will assist you with a pre-check.)

If you have not yet completed or received your final school leaving certificate, you may submit the last available report card from your school.

  • 2ns Step: Application documents

Please hand in the following documents to apply:

    • CV (Curriculum Vitéa)
    • Digital picture (JPEG)
    • Letter of motivation
    • Certified copy of your last school certificates (or apprenticeship certificates)

Please apply online using our application form.

Alternatively, you can send your application to:

    European Management School (EMS)
    Admissions Office
    Rheinstraße 4 L
    55116 Mainz

  • 3rd Step: Assessment Day

After a positive examination of your application documents, we will invite you to our assessment day. This takes place several times a month allowing you to apply early for your desired study program. In an oral and a written exam your ability to study at our university will be tested. Through this assessment on campus, you have the opportunity to get to know us better.

The assessment day includes the following test sections:

    • English test (passing is a prerequisite for applying for an English-language bachelor’s degree program)
    • Aptitude test (general knowledge, logic questions, math problems)
    • Essay
    • Group interview (group discussion on current events or topics)

A successfully completed assessment is valid for two years.

  • 4th Step: Admission

After successful completion of the assessment day, you will receive a study place offer from EMS. In order to secure your study place, you must confirm this offer within a specified period.
