Studying is a part of life that many retrospectively describe as one of the best and most valuable times of their lives. As a student you can learn, think, question, understand and be creative. The focus is entirely on professional interests and personal development. You have the chance to try out internships and get to know foreign cultures during a semester abroad. It is a time when you are laying the important foundation for your future. And, in choosing a university, you decide in which form and how profitably you shape this stage in life with regard to your future career path.
With the motto “Your career. Our mission.”, the EMS faces this important challenge. We work passionately and continuously to design a university that provides our students with high academic teaching standards in an inspiring learning environment: personal, practical and international.
The EMS portfolio includes English and German bachelor and master’s degree programs in business administration with numerous specialization options. We offer five full-time bachelor’s degree programs with a duration of 6 semesters in General Management, International Business, International Tourism Management and Business Psychology (German or English). In addition, you can complete a master’s degree in International Business with various specializations, General Management or Business Psychology. After three further semesters and the completion of a master’s thesis, you will receive the internationally recognized “Master of Arts” degree, which also qualifies suitable candidates to continue with a doctoral degree.
You want to earn an academic degree alongside your employment? The EMS has suitable offers with part-time degree programs in International Management and Business Psychology.
Your degree is only valuable if it is universally recognized. At the EMS you are on the safe side. We are a state-approved business school and thus our degrees are equivalent to those of state universities. In addition, all EMS courses are regularly checked and certified on behalf of the German Accreditation Council for content, up-to-datedness and “study-ability”. And last but not least, our successful participation in prestigious rankings ensures the EMS’s excellent reputation in commercial enterprises and organizations. More about our accreditations and rankings.
Our goal is to promote the professional, social and intercultural competences of our students as a whole and thus provide them with the best possible foundation for their professional career goals. We succeed in doing so by offering intensive support for each individual student. Small study groups and close supervision by our professors and lecturers ensure excellent study conditions and a familiar learning atmosphere on our campus.
As a private university, we also see ourselves as a partner for our students and, as such, offer versatile consulting and services. This starts with advising on choosing the right study program through diverse information events and the possibility of a on campus inside look, and extends to support the transition to working life with personal career counseling and targeted job application training.
You are already in the middle of business on the EMS campus. An essential aspect of our study concept is the strong connection to practical experience. On one hand, company tours, simulation games, business projects in cooperation with companies and specialist lectures by experts ensure you can apply your acquired knowledge to the real working world. On the other hand, our intensive contacts with numerous companies ensure you the opportunity to complete exciting internships and to establish lasting networks during your studies. Through innovative career and network events, you will get to know high-profile managers and talk to company representatives personally. This is how you lay the foundations for a quick and successful start into your career directly after graduation.
The European Management School is internationally oriented and prepares its students for career paths in globally active companies. This includes a semester abroad at one of our more than 100 partner universities worldwide, which is provided for in some degree programs and optional in others. And to ensure that your stay abroad runs smoothly and successfully, the EMS International Office will be there to help you from the start.
We also live internationality on our own campus through, for example, English-language study programs and lectures as well as with our international students from all over the world who can complete a semester or academic year at the EMS. This ensures a diverse atmosphere and promotes intercultural competence – a demanded ability in internationally operating companies.
